Is there any way to buy a subscription without being forced into opening a PayPal account? I have had very bad experiences with PayPal security, account practices, and selling to advertisers.

@C-considering, no, sorry. I use Paypal because they keep track of the subscription and auto-renew it every year, and for whatever reason, their subscription system requires you to have an account.

What service would you rather pay through? I could do some research.

Thanks for the reply. I have a lot of subscriptions but I don't know what services they use under the hood. I just know that PayPal has been a serious problem. One of my employees lost over $5000 when his PayPal "accidentally" removed money from his account. Three years later, and huge legal fees, he finally got his money back, but PayPal has a big list of other security violations in various courts. One of my subscriptions is with IndigoDomo.com, you could ask them who they use. Others seem to be using FastSpring.
