Using aliases

Is there a way to create aliases that can be used by the daemon? So I've got a service running on my pi and the commands I created an alias for, but obviously they only work for my root user, not the daemon. Is there a way to define the same alias for the daemon, so that I can type that into the commands.json file instead of the full command?
