    I'm new...

Had terrible trouble getting commands to trigger until I read a forum post about using "start {\path\command.bat}" and then having "exit" in the batch file. I'm Windows 10

    Anyway...

I have TriggerCMD Smart Home. Alexa finds my "devices" fine, and I click to enable them. But Alexa always says I must speak "Alex turn off" and then the command

Why is it never turn ON??

Can it be configured anywhere to say something other than turn off (or on?!!), as one of my commands is to open the gates on my driveway

@MikeH_Iver, the TRIGGERcmd Smart Home skill only allows turn on and turn off, but you can create an Alexa routine if you want to say something else. You can say whatever you want that will trigger your routine, and your routine will turn the TRIGGERcmd device on or off.
