    Hi there!

I'm looking for a solution to shutdown my PC via Amazon Echo and this tool seems to do the job.

But what bothers me alot is: WHO actually is behind this service?
I can't find any clue on the website which looks very suspicious to me.

This tool is able to run commands on my PC with system rights which is a very critical thing right?

@racoon1211, I, Russell VanderMey, am the only person behind TRIGGERcmd. I wrote the software.

I wrote it with security in mind. Worst case, if say someone was able to hack my servers, they could only run the commands you've setup on your computer in the TRIGGERcmd software. I didn't even give myself that ability though, so even that would be difficult.

        Hi!

        Thanks you for your answer!

Sorry if my question was inappropriate, but I've tried to show your Alexa Skill to an Alexa Group on Facebook.
Sadly all reactions I've got there were very sceptical If not cynical.
That made me think about who actually made this.
The infomations regarding this is hard to find here.

        Happy new year btw 👍

@racoon1211, no offence taken. People worry about who's behind the software they install on their computers - for good reason. It's always been an issue for TRIGGERcmd. I tried to help that by publishing the source code for that software, but that only helps a little.

Thanks for talking about TRIGGERcmd on Facebook.
