For those following along at home, here's what I had to do:

I couldn't figure out why no events were registering in all the ordinary places and it turns out they get logged in a more obscure on and only if it's been enabled.
Once that was done, I un/replugged my USB monitor to create an event and then took an event entry and "assigned task" to it.

Oh and, every time the USB glitches out, it gets recognized by Nirsoft's utility as a new display so I had to put a loop in the batch file for Display3 to Display20 to move my common windows back to their preferred monitors. Bit of a pain, only because I hadn't had to do that in a batch for years and forgot how.

@Smart-Communities, I moved that "Trigger sent. Refresh page to send again." message up to the top. Keep the requests coming. They help. I still plan to update the agent soon with the ability to name the computer during install.

BTW, I noticed bookmark URL's weren't running the Alexa routine I had associated with my command. I fixed that too.

@Russ yeah, I meant similar to XSS really - untrusted input getting passed and parsed 🙂 And no way to escape. Thanks for explanation.

I wonder if you see multiple instances of something like this:

Also, can you tell me the versions of the agent on your 4 computers? If they're different, that could be a clue.

Also, I have better logging now, so I can probably track down the server logs related to your issue if you give me the time and your computer ID or account email address if/when it happens again.

@Petter-Cardoso, thank you for telling me it's working. I didn't do anything, so maybe it was a temporary problem on Amazon's side.

If you're not using the TRIGGERcmd Smart Home skill, I recommend switching to it, or at least try it to see if you like it better. I find that it works better. And you say, "Alexa, turn on Calculator" to run a command instead of the longer sentance, "Alexa, ask TRIGGERcmd to run Calculator."

@gajahduduk, changing the command's voice word might be what fixed it. That deletes and recreates the Alexa device.

@Al-S, do the new commands have a voice word? That's required for the skill to create devices.
